Nksagar-Sagar Media Inc:Raju Ali Mollah leads his team to victory at the Pro-Am event of the Indian Oil XtraPremium Masters 2011. Digboi, Assam, December 4, 2011: The Pro-Am event of the IndianOil XtraPremium Masters 2011 provided amateur golfers from Digboi an opportunity to play alongside some of the top professional golfers in the country. Kolkata-based professional Raju Ali Mollah led his team to victory at the Pro-Am. The Pro-Am event was played in the team stableford format wherein each team comprised one professional and three amateurs. The aggregate of two best amateur net scores on each hole over 18 holes comprised the team total. The scores of the professionals were not compulsory.The event was won by PGTI member Raju Ali Mollah’s team. Raju’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Aditya Prakash Sharma, Mr. Pankaj Deka and Mr. Jishu Rakshit. Their team total was 106 points. The team led by PGTI member Zamal Hossain Mollah finished second with a score of 105 points. The amateurs in Zamal’s team were Mr. Angshuman Gogoi, Mr. Haseem Ahmed and Mr. D P Prasad. PGTI member Abhishek Jha’s team comprising of amateurs Mrs. Reetamoni Hazarika, Mr. Abhijit Konwar and Mr. Ajay Baruah finished third. Their team total was 103 points.
The prize for the closest shot to the pin on hole no. 2 was won by Mr.Ajay Barua. His shot landed 20 feet from the pin.The prize for the closest shot to the pin on hole no. 16 was won by Mr. Karambir Singh. His shot landed eight feet and eight inches from the pin.
Mr. Arun Nath won the contest for the straightest drive on hole no. 5.His drive landed six feet from the centre of the fairway.
