Delhi court on Wednesday rejected Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh's regular
as well as interim bail pleas in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam. Special
Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal relied on the medical reports to reject
both the bail applications of the former Samajwadi Party leader who is
undergoing treatment for his kidney ailments at the AIIMS.
Mr. Amar Singh arrested on the 6th of this month after he appeared before the court. He, however, had to be rushed to the AIIMS from Tihar jail after a bout of vomiting and diarrhoea on the 12th and later the court granted him interim bail on the 15th of this month.
