begins Friday

The 11th TiECon Delhi 2011
that begins in the capital on Friday promises action packed two days with
keynote addresses by the UK High Commissioner to India Sir Richard Stagg, Secretary,
Ministry of Communications and IT Mr. R Chandrashekhar and Secretary, Ministry
of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Mr. Uday Kumar Varma.
While Nokia India ’s
MD D Shivakumar will deliver the first Prof CK Prahalad memorial lecture. The
other speakers of note include Mr. Ronnie Screwala, Founder and CEO UTV group.
Among the celebrated thought
leaders, successful and budding entrepreneurs, Nithya Shanti - an inspirational
speaker, writer, happiness coach, integral healer, educator and modern day sage
will share transformational ideas for leaders for everyday happiness.
Over 1500 entrepreneurs
expected at sessions that will dwell on opportunities in Infrastructure, Healthcare,
Agriculture, Social Sector in addition to showcasing two dotcom high impact
successes --Makemytrip and Naukri.
The entrepreneurial event, among
the biggest in Asia , will be celebrating the
spirit of entrepreneurship among young and aspiring by focusing on Young
achievers Deeya Bajaj, the youngest member of the Trans Greenland Skiing
Expedition and Anu Vaidyananthan, Triathletics Champion.
The TiE-Lumis Excellence
Awards program will identify fast growing, high potential startups that are
breaking new ground with intense passion and innovation.

Early Stage and Growth Stage Companies
A set of special networking
lounges will allow TIECon attendees from Early Stage Companies (founded less
than 5 years ago) and Growth Stage Companies (operational for over 5 years) to
network with peers, investors, potential mentors and service providers.
Senior TiE Charter members--Deep
Kalra, Founder & CEO, MakeMyTrip.com and Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Vice-Chairman,
Naukri.com--will hold special sessions for Early Stage Companies.
The attendees from Growth
Stage Companies will be addressed by Senior TiE Charter Member Alok Mittal, Managing

TiE Institute to conduct
a series of sessions for ‘MiniMBA’ inputs
The eleventh TiECon will
also see the TiE Institute conduct a series of parallel sessions to equip
participants on how to face the hurdles during their entrepreneurial journey--from
raising funds and managing finances to effective marketing strategies and
attracting talent.
