BJP launched in Norway : Jolly

ImageNew Delhi, 16th July 2012 : Overseas Friends of BJP Convenor Mr. Vijay Jolly launched  BJP unit  in Kingdom of Norway last week. The friends & well-wishers of BJP in the Scandinavian peninsula organized a public meeting in capital city Oslo. They were addressed by BJP Overseas leader Mr. Vijay Jolly at a crowded program. Mr. Jolly conveyed the warm good wishes of senior BJP leaders Shri. Vajpayee, Shri. Advani, Shri. Gadkari, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Shri. Arun Jaitley, Shri. Rajnath Singh & Mr. Venkaiyah Naidu to the assembled audience.
 
Norway has unitary parliamentary democracy & constitutional monarchy. Norway has a total area of 3,85,252 Sq. kilometers and has a population of 5 million. Norway has worlds third highest per capita income of US$96,591. It is a founding member of NATO. It has extensive reserves of petroleum, natural gas, minerals and hydro power. 
 
BJP Norway Chief Mr. Mohan Singh Varma, a prominent social leader based at Oslo along with his dedicated team of BJP well-wishers were presented a book titled “Vikas Ke Path” written and signed by BJP National President Shri. Nitin Gadkari by Mr. Jolly at the public program. Indian BJP leader Mr. Jolly was accorded a tumultuous welcome at down town located Anker Hotel at Oslo. The program started with the playing of Indian & Norway national anthems. School children of NRI’s performed cultural program. Prominent Norwegian – Indians along with Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh coordinator Europe region Shri. Ombir Upadhyay also attended.      
 
BJP Overseas Affairs leader Mr. Jolly visited the Indian Embassy at Oslo. He was briefed by the Indian Ambassador Mr. R.K. Tyagi on the broad contours of Indo – Norway relations for nearly 45 minutes at the Indian mission. The 10,000 strong Indian Diaspora in Norway has earned goodwill for mother India with its hard work and dedication. This was echoed by the Vice President of Norway Mr. Per-Kristian Foss and also President of Conservative Party MP Ms. Erna Solberg during Mr. Jolly’s visit to the “Storting”, the parliament of Norway. Mr. Jolly also visited the world famous skiing resort “Holmenkollen”.
