Japan talks China,S Korea on North Korea planned rocket launch


Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba has left for China for 3-way talks with China and South Korea on North Korea's planned rocket launch.Gemba left Tokyo's Haneda Airport for the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo on Saturday morning.

In the evening, he will meet separately with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and South Korea's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Kim Sung-hwan. The 3 ministers will hold talks on Sunday.The ministers are expected to confirm a shared stance that North Korea's rocket launch would undermine the region's peace and stability.They are also expected to seek restraint from the North.The ministers are also expected to discuss measures to be taken in the event that North Korea goes ahead with the launch.
