BADAL HAILS SUPERB PERFORMANCE OF SAD-BJP ALLIANCE IN MCD ELECTIONS
* Terms This Historic Mandate As Refferdum For Next Lok Sabha PollsChandigarh :-
Patron of the Shiromani Akali Dal and Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today hailed the landslide victory of SAD-BJP alliance in the Municipal Corporation elections of Delhi and described it as a “historic mandate in the favour of its pro-people policies and outright rejection of Congress due to its anti-poor stance and rampant corrupt and mal administration.”
In a statement, Mr. Badal said that these election results should not be merely construed as a victory of MCD elections but a referendum for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in 2014. He said these election results were a pointer towards the impending rout of Congress led UPA government from Centre thereby paving a way for the BJP led NDA to form the next government. He said the spectacular victory of SAD-BJP in these MCD elections was a testimony to the unflinching trust and confidence, which the people have reposed in the policies and programmes of its alliance.
Mr. Badal further said that the people of Punjab were wise enough to be instrumental in maintaining the spree of victory in the next Municipal elections in the State also as they had already demonstrated their unstinted faith and determination to create a history in Punjab by electing the SAD-BJP alliance government consecutively for the second term.
Mr. Badal felicitated all the candidates of SAD-BJP who emerged triumphant in these elections and their supporters for this rare feat. Exuberating with confidence, Mr. Badal hoped that the day was not very far off when the BJP led NDA would capture the fort at the Centre to cherish the aspirations of millions of people who had been fed up with the autocratic functioning of Congress led UPA government which has hardly any achievement worth mentioning except to accentuate the woes of all sections of society be it farmers, industrialist, employees, middle class above all the worst hit was the common man-the ‘aam aadmi’ in the nomenclature of Congress for whom it claimed to be the votary of his rights.
