Progress of security along coasts being reviewed regularly.

The implementation and progress of security along the coasts is being reviewed regularly for strengthening maritime and coastal security across the country. A high level committee set up for purpose is being headed by the Cabinet Secretary.

Home Ministry sources said that the security apparatus along the coasts is being implemented in two phases since 2005. The first phase has been completed in March this year and the funds for its implementation were being provided by the Center
