Peaceful protest at United Nations against Govt's Lokpal Bill

Peaceful protest at United Nations against Govt's Lokpal Bill Indians across the world are organising protests to demand an effective deterrent against corruption. Today Indians in the United States are going to organise a peaceful protest at United Nations in New York. The protestors demand that the proposed Lokpal Bill fails to provide citizens with needed protections, and should not be made into law. IAC supportes in the US said, "the proposed Lokpal Bill fails to meet even the most basic aspects of the UN Convention Against Corruption, we, as concerned citizens of the world’s largest democracy, are executing our duty to voice against the Indian Government’s proposal, and we seek intervention from the United Nations Office on Drug and Crime". The protest will be held at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza Park, across United Nations from 11 am to 1 pm.
