Himachal Govt reduces VAT on diesel

Himachal Pradesh government has reduced VAT on diesel from 14 percent to 9.70 percent. State government's decision is aimed at providing relief to the consumer after the recent price hike announced by the Centre on petroleum products. With this move, the prices of diesel will go down by 1.50 rupees to 2 rupees a litre in the state.
