Dr Rajiv Kumar appointed Secretary General of FICCI

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FICCI which had turn over to Rs 3 Cr has 100 Cr turn over with offices in six states and seven international offices. Amit Mitra resigned from the position of Secretary General from FICCI to take up the prestigious assignment of being finance minister of West Bengal.Media briefing Dr Rajiv Kumar DG elevated to the post of Secretary General ,in lieu of Amit exit, on Monday said that it will focus on maximizing advantage and supporting India as a global player. FICCI plays important role in facilitating government and corporate coordinating special meets for matter pertaining to policies formation and bill enactment. Deliberating with reporters in New Delhi the newly appointed Secretary General of FICCI, Dr Rajiv Kumar said that it has adopted a nine point reform agenda focusing towards the growth of the country.They include expanding share of manufacturing in the economy, higher education and health, Agriculture yields, Water Management, Employment generation, Environment Green Urbanization,Governance reforms domestic market integration and Ease of doing business focus on state of modernization and Advantage India to work Invest India include nurturing innovations and enter-pruner, along with skill development, building capacities for tourists enhancing brand Bollywood and expanding domestic capacities for defense production. “We also plan to increase our corporate membership from the current 120 to about 200,” said Rajiv Kumar further added that FICCI in order to enhance membership drive will focus in the southern and eastern parts of India. Dr Rajiv Kumar has a D.Phil in Economics from the Oxford University and PhD from Lucknow University and beside well known economist is author of several books.
