APPREHENSION OF PAKISTANI FISHING BOAT IN INDIAN WATERS BY ICH SHIP ON 24 MAR 17

Indian Coast Guard Ship C-408 whilst on a routine EEZ patrol apprehended a Pakistani fishing boat with 9 crew for fishing in our waters at about 1500 hrs yesterday.   The boat was escorted to Jakhau port( Gujarat).  The Boat and the crew have been handed over to police for further investigation.  The details are as follow:-

  • Name of the boat –           Karachi Pakistan
  • No of crew –           Nine (all Pakistani)
  • Position                                     –           35 NM north west of Jakhau
  • Fish onboard             –           20 to 30 kgs
  • Port of departure –           Shah Bunder, Pakistan
