Begharon Ke Saath (SAM-BKS)!

Left with no choice and with desperation clear on their faces, about 100 CityMakers (Homeless Residents) protested outside DUSIB office on June 8, 2012 demanding to know by when will basic facilities be provided in all shelters?

The poorest of the poor strata of our society is not only feeling neglected but are on the verge of break down as government fails to provide basic amenities like drinking water, fans, mosquito coils and proper sanitation arrangements. On one hand the tent shelters are collapsing and on the other tin shelters are like furnace, leaving CityMakers without a roof once again. DUSIB has been so boorish that despite Hon'ble High Court of Delhi's order (dated May 31, 2012) to provide basic facilities in shelters on urgent basis, it has not bothered to comply with any of the orders.
