THE DELHI DIALOGUE IV
“India and ASEAN: Partners for Peace, Progress and Stability”
February 14, 2012, Time: 9.30-11.00am, Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi
The Delhi Dialogue IV (a Regional Security & Cooperation Dialogue) is being organized by FICCI in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs & Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) in support with Institute of south East Asian Studies (ISEAS), Singapore and SAEA Group after the resounding success of the earlier three Conferences.
The theme for the Delhi-Dialogue IV is “India and ASEAN: Partners for Peace, Progress and Stability” which seeks to underscore India’s increasing engagement with ASEAN countries and to explore an agenda for the consolidation of this relationship in the coming years. The Dialogue is also significant given that India and ASEAN will celebrate two decades of their institutionalized engagement in 2012.
The idea of this Annual Conference is to get together policy makers, businesses, think tanks as well as politicians from India and the ASEAN countries, under one roof, to discuss the way forward for addressing various issues of common interest.

Marem, a 14-year-old dancer from Senegal, has a dream to migrate to Europe; and Sonia, a Spanish dancer, is attracted by the magic of Africa. Both are linked by Pap Ndiaye, Marem’s father and at the same time Sonia’s husband. Africa did not turn out to meet Sonia’s dream (Pap Ndiaye had two additional wives), nor was Europe what Marem expected (no children in the street and a lot of poverty).
