Egypt and Israel prisoner swap

Egypt and Israel have reached an agreement to swap an alleged Israeli spy for 25 Egyptians held in Israeli jails.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said that Egypt has agreed to release Ilan Grapel and at Egypt’s request Israel has agreed to free 25 Egyptian prisoners. Egypt’s official MENA news agency has said the swap is expected to take place in the next two days. 

And deal is subject to the approval of Israel's 14-member security cabinet which is due to be convened Tuesday as 27 year old Grapel was arrested in Egypt on charges of being a spy to recruit agents and monitor events in the revolt that overthrew the then President Hosni Mubarak in February this year, a charge strongly denied by Israel.Media agencies. Israel released more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit who had been held by the militant group Hamas since 2006
Ilan Grapel, holds Israeli and American dual citizenships,  held in Egypt since June 12. Grapel, first charged with espionage, later charges were enhanced to incitement, insurrection, and damaging a public building during the uprising that took place in Egypt earlier this year.Media agencies
