Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks is fighting extradition to Sweden over sex charges, was granted conditional bail by a British court High Court on Thursday but still he battles an extradition attempt by Sweden over alleged sex crimes:

to answer allegations of sex crimes: Australian Assange was in court to hear the judge reject an appeal on behalf of Swedish prosecutors against a ruling Tuesday by a lower court that he be bailed. “I am going to grant conditional bail,” judge Duncan Ouseley said.Judge endorsed the bail conditions imposed by the lower court, that Assange’s supporters must pay a 240,000-pound surety and be subject to electronic tagging and a curfew.Earlier, the judge banned the use of Twitter to give a blow-by-blow account of Thursday's proceedings from the court.
Assange has received the backing of a number of high-profile supporters including human rights campaigners Jemima Khan and Bianca Jagger, and film director Ken Loach.
Assange been in prison since December 7, he surrender to British police over a Swedish sex-crimes warrant. He denies wrongdoing but is refusing to surrender to Sweden's request to extradite him for questioning.WikiLeaks has angered American officials by beginning to publish its trove of 250,000 secret US diplomatic cables.
WikiLeaks Chief Julian Assange said on Thursday he had heard rumours that he had been indicted in the United States, shortly after he was freed on bail in Britain."We have a rumour today from my lawyer in the US, which is not confirmed yet, that there has been an indictment made against me in the US," the 39-year-old Australian told reporters.
Julian said his concerns is more on an attempts would be made to extradite him to the United States, state infuriated by his website's release of US diplomatic cables."I do not have too many fears about being extradited to Sweden. There are much bigger concerns about being extradited to the United States," he said. Julian lawyer Mark Stephens, claimed earlier this week a secret US grand jury had been set up in Virginia to work on charges that could be filed against the WikiLeaks founder.
